It won't piss me off. Interesting thoughts. Yes, Jim P. is a "daddy" before me, but that is OK. The day you see the Porsche 911 in the garage, you can start asking when the kids will arrive.

What bothers me about Rachel's mother is this, why in the heck does she have to impress on others her "way" to raise children when her own children despise the torture we were put through as kids? It is not like "mother of the year" award was thrown at our family ever.

I feel bad however that relationships with people are hindered due to a "religious" belief that doesn't even appear in the Bible, and a true which does appear, love your neighbor as yourself is so often ignored. Jesus came to save those who knew they needed saving, the Pharises' didn't need to be saved as they lived their self righteous lives. How much more so is Rachel's mothers actions like a Pharises?

Oh well, have a nice weekend.

I was driving in the car today and had a really well thought out post for tonight, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was that I wanted to say. With that having been said, I will state that I voted today against the sales tax increase proposed for Davidson County. This proposal was intended to help the poor and elderly, and I have to be perfectly honest, I am sick and tired of those of us who work hard and make money continually being called up to help those who haven't been as ambitious.

Tax, tax, tax, tax, tax. I am sick and tired of taxes. A system set up to penalize those who work hard and ultimately keeps the economy going. I am a big fan of the Fair Tax as proposed by John Linder and being talked up by Neil Boortz on his weekly radio show. It is gaining strength and if you haven't checked it out, I encourage you to do so. Simply Google Fair Tax and you will find the Web site. I know Sean Hannity has been talking up this plan, as well as a lot of other conservatives out there. I read the book which really sheds light on how badly we are being screwed over by our own government.

I am currently reading The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenburg. I have really enjoyed reading this author, I like his style and you can tell he really knows his stuff. Last month I read The Ezekiel Option, and after reading the book it made the rounds within the men's group I am involved with.

That is all for now, thanks for taking a minute to stop by and read what I have to say.

It is encouraging to see that other countries have stepped up to help out with the tragedy in New Orleans. Kuwait has donated 500 million dollars worth of oil to help out. With current pricing, that should help to fill a total of 18 cars. Our church along with others in the area are actively trying to mount efforts to collect food, money water and other necessities that we all take for granted.

Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham has challenged churches to step up, and offer to accept 10 families to house and assist during this time of tragedy. As I sit here writing, Geraldo is on Fox News asking for people to pray to God for help, imagine that, a nation turning back to God.

I am glad to have my sister here with her hubby. We have had a good time getting to know eachother better. I wish we lived a little closer so that we could see them more often.

Well, that is about it for now, I will give a few book reviews this week of some books I have enjoyed reading, but that will have to be later this week.

It took long enough to have some countries step up and pledge support, but I am glad to see that it is happening for those victims of the Hurricane. Those countries probably figured that if they didn't kick in something, that next time something bad happens to them, the USA won't be as quick to step in and bail them out.

On a funny note, Fidel Castro, the leader of Cuba, took time yesterday and observed a moment of silence in honor of those who have died as a result of the Hurricane and those still suffering as a result of the Hurricane. Following this moment of silence, he proceeded with his criticism of the USA - in particular George W. Bush - and the war in Iraq.

I was watching On The Record with Greta Van Sustern on Fox News last night, and she had a young black man with her who had stolen a school bus in New Orleans, and loaded it up with people and drove it to Texas. The fellow stated that he went to the bus yard, the building which housed the keys was already damaged so he found some keys, matched it up to the correct vehicle, started the bus and drove out. He took about 80 people with him to Texas. They stopped 3 times along the way to rest and to get gas, which those on board the bus chipped in for to make the journey. Although he had technically stolen the bus, it is a story like this that sheds light on the hope that does exist, that one person can make a difference.

Well, Rachel & Jim arrive this morning. I am scared as our mother is trying to micro manage each and every minute of this vacation. I just hope Rachel isn't annoyed to the point of never wanting to visit again. I hope Rachel and Jim have a chance to relax, and that we can all get to know each other better. For my mother, I just hope she can tone down her normal rhetoric about 6000% and just act normal, and demonstrate unconditional love for not only Rachel, but Jim as well.

That's all for now, have a good weekend.

I get a little bit misty as I watch the huge outpouring of support coming from our foreign friends and neighbors. Thank-you Canada, thank-you France, thank-you Great Britian, thank-you Japan.

Yeah right. Screw all of those countries. They are scumbags. I say we evacuate New Orleans, and let those poor souls go loot those countries, with the full faith and support of the United States Military at their sides protecting while they destroy those countries.

My sister said it best stating that most of the refugees have a "victim" mentaility, and are so accustomed to taking a handout that they can't fathom assisting themselves. As Rachel said, "...these people need to make the decision to start living."

What a sad, sad state of affairs. I hope the "left" becomes aware of the help not flowing in from other countries, and perhaps can re-focus their attention and energy on building a better, stronger USA UNITED together. As a nation we should really take a long, hard look at the handouts we give to all those foreign countries, and bring that to a stop. Keep OUR money in OUR country. Keep OUR people safe, dry, warm and secure. OUR tax money is the money used to support and assist those other countries, make a change and call your senator and representatives and let them know you don't want your money spent on those other countries. LET THOSE COUNTRIES SOLVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS, THEY DON'T WANT US THERE ANYWAYS.

Screw them.

I challenge you, try to make a difference.

God Bless the USA.

For those of you affected by the Hurricane, and all of those stuck in the devastation that was New Orleans, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I would also like to take a moment to thank all the foreign countries who have stepped up and offered to help. Below is a list of those countries:

The amazing thing is that this list has more than doubled since yesterday, and I am sure it will double again within the next 24-48 hours.

Have a good day.

I am happy, my sister is coming to visit this weekend. I hope we can show her and Jim (my brother-in-law) a good time. I hope they have a chance to relax.
